The popular Brinsea TLC-40 Advance has been redesigned to offer additional features such as increased humidity range, variable fan speed, and a nebulizer. Tough, efficient, easily cleaned, and quick to set up, the new TLC-40 Advance Series II Parrot Brooder/ICU/Recovery Incubator is ideal for newly hatched exotic chicks and sick, injured, or orphaned birds and mammals. Altricial species of birds (including all parrots and birds of prey) are blind and helpless when they hatch, and it takes some weeks before they are able to move around, control their body temperature, and feed themselves. During this period, the young birds need to be kept in a clean, temperature-controlled environment. The Brinsea TLC40 Advance Series II brooder fulfills all these functions very cost-effectively and can also double as a hospital cage, intensive care unit, or recovery incubator for sick or injured birds and mammals.
Brinsea TLC intensive care units and recovery incubators are also the best place for weak and fragile baby animals to heal, hide, and grow, especially for tiny babies who aren’t old enough to retain their own heat. The incubators provide a warm, clean, quiet, safe and reliable haven for orphaned baby animals. Many young babies need extra help to survive in those early days and a safe, secure, controlled environment gives them the best chance to recover and thrive. The Brinsea TLC-40 Advance Series II brooder provides digital control and read-out of temperature with high and low temperature alarms including the new patented room temperature alarm. It also provides a digital display of the humidity level achieved in the chamber. The increased humidity capability is achieved with improved door fit, increased evaporating surface and a tough polycarbonate door which retains its flatness under high humidity.
Airflow in the TLC-40 Advance Series II has been optimized to ensure consistent distribution of heat, so that all animals are at the same temperature, but with the fan maintaining gentle airspeeds so that down and dust are not blown around. The variable fan speed allows the user to adjust the setting for particularly stress-sensitive animals. The TLC-40 Advance Series II also comes with switchable internal LED light and a nebulizer solution holder to conveniently administer medication when connected to a nebulizer pump (pump not supplied). With hygiene a top priority for your animals, the TLC-40 Advance Series II has been carefully designed to make cleaning as easy as possible.
The lower half of the cabinet and door are removable allowing them to be scrubbed and immersed. Like all Brinsea Products the TLC-40 Advance series II brooder intensive care unit animal incubator comes with a full 3 year warranty subject to registration.
Brinsea TLC-40 Advance Series
Altricial species of birds (including parrots and birds of prey) are blind and helpless when they hatch and it is some weeks before they are able to move around, control their body temperature, and feed themselves. During this period the young birds need to be kept in a clean, temperature-controlled environment that is as free as possible from airborne contaminants.
As they grow and develop down and feathers they can tolerate lower temperatures and the breeder needs to be able to reduce the chamber temperature easily, whilst still maintaining control. Young birds also benefit from being able to see humans from within the chamber. During this early stage in their development it is essential for young birds to become familiar with the presence of people if they are to be tame in adulthood.
The TLC-40 parrot brooders fulfill all these functions cost-effectively and can also double as a Recovery Incubator or Hospital Cage for sick or injured birds and mammals. Animals such as neonatal kittens, baby squirrels, baby raccoons, and even hedgehogs can greatly benefit from time spent in a TLC unit.
Intensive Care Unit
TLC units are used around the world by breeding facilities, rescue centers, and individual wildlife rehabbers. TLC Intensive Care Units are the best place for weak and fragile animals to heal, hide, and grow. The TLC incubators provide a warm, clean, quiet, safe, and controlled environment giving these orphaned animals the best chance to recover and thrive.
Brinsea TLC-40 Advance Series Hygiene
Hygiene is a top priority, which is why the TLC units have been carefully designed to make cleaning as easy as possible with smooth finish ABS plastics. We designed the TLC-40 and larger TLC-50 units to come apart completely.
Airflow in the TLC-40 and 50 units has been carefully optimized to create a slight positive pressure within the chamber, which resists the inflow of any unfiltered air from outside. This use of slight pressure differences is a proven method in hospital isolation wards to resist the spread of airborne biohazards. As internal air is circulated in the TLC-40 and 50 it passes through two internal 2-stage electrostatic filters. All the filters are washable and replaceable.
A Variety of Choices
The Eco provides control and read-out of temperature, and the new Eco II also offers high-and-low-temperature alarms. The Advance features digital controls, high and low temperature alarms, a display of humidity, and a switchable LED internal light. The new Advance II also features a nebulizer solution holder and adjustable fan speed. The new top of the range Zoologica II units have an integral pump for maintaining an increased humidity range, which offers greater peace of mind when dealing with animals that depend on humid conditions.
Warm air at brooding temperature can result in dehydration of the animals so the TLC-40 and larger TLC-50 brooders incorporate a water reservoir over which air is circulated to increase humidity within the chamber. The water reservoir is filled from outside the unit and is clear, allowing the user to monitor the water level. It is removable for easy cleaning.
The TLC-30 units are smaller and more portable, making them perfect for on-the-go rehabbers.
